This is a great product. You simply pull out the hose and it unwinds from the reel. When you are done, you turn the yellow handle on the side and it retracts the hose for you. This soldering gun is battery operated. It works differently than all other guns. All others heat up an element to a very high termperature. Then the element melts the solder. This gun uses electricity that flows through the tip, causing the heat. Because of this, the tip is only hot during the time that the soldering occurs. The tip can be touched a second or two later.
